Summer is often associated with travel, but this issue explores journeys that go far beyond destinations. Across its pages, you'll meet Filipinos, writers, artists, entrepreneurs, and changemakers whose stories reveal how identity, creativity, and purpose continue to evolve across cultures and continents.
Our cover story follows Mikey Bustos as he reflects on why Italy felt less like a vacation and more like coming home. We also feature runner Paula Lewis, who transformed the discipline of endurance sports into a life philosophy, and artist Victor Baguilat Jr., whose work reimagines Ifugao heritage for a new generation.
This issue also shines a spotlight on Philippine literature's growing global presence through exclusive interviews and in-depth features on translation, publishing, and the remarkable database documenting how Filipino books have reached readers around the world. Alongside these are stories on health as a lifelong investment, food, travel, culture, and the inspiring people building bridges between the Philippines and the international community.
Whether you're reading from Manila, Milan, Toronto, or anywhere in between, we hope this issue reminds you that every meaningful journey begins with a story worth sharing.

Looking every bit the radiant bride, KaladKaren wore a stunning mermaid-cut gown designed by the talented Filipino designer Francis Libiran, effortlessly blending elegance and drama.
